n AP/Bridge and AP-Client modes for sophisticated application

   ‧The SP9012N supports AP/Bridge and AP-Client operating modes.

   ‧AP/Bridge mode provides both Access Point and Static LAN-to-LAN Bridging functionality. The static LAN-to-LAN bridging function is supported

       through Wireless Distribution System (WDS).

   ‧To establish a static bridge link based on WDS, the AP/bridges at both end of the WDS link must be manually configured with each other's

       MAC addresses, both devices are configured with the same SSID and WEP settings.

   ‧AP-Client mode is for Dynamic LAN-to-LAN Bridging. The AP-Client scans all APs with matched SSID, and establishes a bridge link with them

       (from any vendors).


 AP/Bridge and AP-Client modes for sophisticated application

   ‧Under AP/Bridge mode, two or more LAN segments can be connected wirelessly by WDS links. As illustrated in the below diagram, a pair of

       wireless LAN-to-LAN bridges is used to connect two LAN segments, and can be expanded up to 6 WDS links.


 SNMP remote management

   ‧Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) is an UDP-based network protocol. It is used mostly in network management systems to monitor

       network-attached devices for conditions that warrant administrative attention. SNMP protocol consists of a set of standards for network management,

       including an application layer protocol, a database schema, and a set of data objects.

   ‧SP9012N supports SNMP (V1/V2) protocol for convenient remote management. SNMP functionality can be disabled, then users shall specify the

       name (used as a password) of the read-only and read-write community. In addition, up to 5 SNMP trap targets can be set in the SNMP Trap Table.

   ‧Supporting IP65 protection class, SP9012N can be placed outdoors or in harsh environment.

   ‧Users can easily install SP9012N on the post with a bundled mounting kit. The PoE LAN port design helps users to adapt to network port and

       power source with feasibility.
